Parks & Recreation Commission
The City’s Parks and Recreation Commission oversees the maintenance, operation and equipping of the City’s Parks and Playgrounds. The Commission was created by the City’s Charter and consists of seven members. Five members are appointed by Council, one member is appointed by Franklin Township, and one member is appointed by the Franklin City Schools Board of Education. Each member serves a four-year term.

Meetings
The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on an at-needed basis. All meetings are held at the City’s Municipal Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, or at the Public Works Building, 202 Baxter Drive. Please check the meeting notice to determine the location of the meeting.
