Grand Marshall 2024 Independence Day Parade

Chuck Wolfinbarger, Senior Pastor at New Vine Community Church, to be Grand Marshall for Franklin’s 2024 Independence Day Parade

The City of Franklin and the Special Events Committee are excited to announce that Chuck Wolfinbarger will serve as the 2024 Independence Day Parade Grand Marshall on Thursday, July 4, 2024. We want to express our appreciation to Chuck and honor his dedicated service to the residents of Franklin that spans over 35 years. Chuck’s wife, Liz, will join him in the parade. Chuck and Liz have four sons and 12 grandchildren, all of whom are residents of Franklin.

In the fall of 1988, Chuck and Liz Wolfinbarger moved to Franklin, In January 1989, they started their first small group, which has grown to the New Vine Community Church, located on State Route 123. Chuck also serves as the chaplain for the Franklin Division of Fire & EMS. In November, he led the Memorial service for Franklin Police K-9 officer Fury after he was killed in the line of duty. Our community is undoubtedly a better place due to the leadership and service Chuck provides.

The 2024 parade will line up on the west side of the river on Park Avenue, cross the Lion’s Bridge, turn right onto River Street, and continue on River until it’s conclusion at the intersection of River Street and Farm Avenue.
Parade participants may continue South as the parade ends or may turn onto Farm Ave and end at Anthony Wayne Elementary. There is construction downtown, so please use caution and be mindful when walking and driving in the area. www.FranklinOhio.org/IndependenceDay
